Back in 1998, we were working an a really boring web portal site which used to get virtually no visitors. To liven things up, just before we left work to go to the pub one Friday we decided to set up a poll to see which singer was more popular - Britney Spears, or Billie Piper.

When we returned to the office on Monday, we were surprised to see that thousands of people had flooded onto the site to take part in the poll. Fans of both singers had been forwarding the link round messageboards and mailing lists - our poll had ‘gone viral’.

The success of that one, simple survey, gave us the idea to set up our own site crammed full of silly, pointless things for people to do. But instead of just polls, we wanted to give people something more interactive, like Flash games, animations and competitions.

Nowadays all that kind of stuff sounds pretty ordinary, but back then there was pretty much nobody else on the web doing it. Our site - “The Site With No Name” - started to become a cult phenomenon.

From then on, things snowballed. We were approached by TV companies, big brands and even Hollywood films to make Flash games and animations. Sadly as we did more and more corporate stuff, the original site started to get left behind.

Fast forward to 2008 and, ten years on, the site’s back! Although some of the content is looking pretty dated now, we’ll be filling it full of exciting new features over the coming months. We hope you like it…
